Schedule :

8th & 9th November :
Azeem Banatwalla is the proverbial jack of all trades and master of puns. An engineer turned writer turned comedian, he is a regular at Mumbai’s Canvas Laugh Factory (previously The Comedy Store) as well as dozens of pubs and clubs around the country. He is a member of Sorabh Pant's East India Comedy, Indian's busiest comedy company, and a core member of the acclaimed comedy specials Comedy News Network and BackBenchers.

In his first 45 minute special, Azeem uses quirky, observational humour and semi-sharpened wit to give his views on topics encompassing sports, Bollywood, religion, politics, and travel, in addition to personal anecdotes that have taught him that life is a lot more tolerable if you take everything with a pinch of salt.
Filter Coffee is an Indian ethnotronic collaborative project brought to life by tabla player / percussionist Swarupa Ananth and flautist Shriram Sampath – both who also double up as music producers. Their live performances include a unique blend of Indian Classical / folk, instruments and voices with electronic grooves.
Filter Coffee will be collaborating with Jahnvi Shrimankar and VJ Shreya Naik for this performance. While Jahnvi brings in her inimitable vocal style with Bandishes and Alaaps, Shreya Naik aka Plan B will take the audience through a spectacular visual journey with “Filter Coffee” making music for the same.
10th November :
Avant Garde is an East London Dance Associate Company pushing the boundaries of hip-hop and contemporary dance. Their dynamic performances have musicality at their core and explore a myriad of styles, themes and media. Their mantra is: ‘Innovate, Never Replicate’. Led by Founder / Artistic Director, Tony Adigun, they are committed to producing artistic work that is entertaining and challenging. The company was formed as a creative release from the world of commercial dance, to bring together a group of like-minded dancers to explore more unusual, abstract and artistic ideas away from the mainstream.
ü  The Black Album is a triple-bill by Avant Garde, in which three distinctly different hip hop choreographies are woven together like a concept album, taking you on a soulful journey through the truly classic and powerful coolness of black.
ü  In Omega, five dancers and five columns of light improvise and respond to experimental DJs Jazzanova.
ü  A Classical Break presents a humorous and cheeky partnership between break dance and the music of Beethoven, Mozart and Prokofiev. The language of breaking and the detailed choreography accentuate the orchestral score resulting in a number of magical musical moments.
ü  Dark Matter is abstract and visually captivating, and unleashes the inner darkness of eight powerful dancers. Prowling the perimeter of the stage and playing amongst the shadows, the dancers make you see the music you cannot hear.
10th to 13th November :
Between The Web and The Loom (exhibition by Claire Pencak) is a collaboration between Joan Baxter (tapestry artist), John McGeoch (moving image artist), Claire Pençak (choreographer), Shamita Ray (dancer) and James Wyness (composer). This collection of finely crafted moving image works, explore themes around weaving through textiles, sound and dance.
The context for the work is the Orkney land and seascape, a short story ‘The Weaver’ by the great Orcadian writer George Mackay Brown, and the sounds of the remaining Scottish Borders textile mills. It is a fusion and interplay between dance, sound, and weaving.
