Event Description : Alliance Française de Delhi and British Council present "Art Videos, etc." exhibition.
This new program of Video art Etc ” The English Channel” is taking us on exploring a bit of British art and culture. Jeremy Deller, Laure Prouvost and DV8 physical theater will help us on exploring.
Jeremy Deller was the artist representing Great Britain at the last Venice Biennial in 2013, this pavilion was one of the most audacious of the Biennial bringing up front a rough portrait of an old empire, striking for its survival. “English Magic” is the video which was installed at the Biennial.
Laure Prouvost, born french has done all her studies in England, she was awarded of the most important art prize the Turner Prize; Her charming video-instalaltion is a fictitious homage to his grandfather and to to Schwitters assumed tobe a friend of him. Schwitters was able to exile from Germany to England during the war.

The sulfurous choreographer Lloyd Newson is dancing his encounters with all kind of fringe of the society and get ready for some shocks, “The cost of Living” displays the choreographer’s amazing abilities of turning everything into dark humor on the Norfolk coast where the movie is made.
