A tribute to her gurus Shri Krishna Kumar, Shri Jayarama Rao, Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam and Guru Nataraja Ramakrishna.
An evening of Choreography in pure Kuchipudi with a hint of experimental thought, as a tribute to her Gurus, Vanashree Rao focuses on the Ek Patra Abhinaya, the solo art of portraying both male and female characters. Her Choreography for the evening indulges in 4 stories each depicting one of the following Rasas - Veer (Valour), Bhakti (Devotion), Sringar (Love).
Smt. Vanashree Rao is one of the leading renowned Kuchipudi Exponents, teacher and choreographer. Recipient of many honours, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Sahitya Kala Parishad Samman. An international artist, she has performed as a solo artist as well as a duo with her husband and Guru, Padamsri Guru Jayarama Rao.
