Event Description : "The Beauty And The Grit" Dance Photography on aproject with seven different dance companies taking place in Wales and India until the end of 2015 as part of Contemporary Arts Week. 

By Roy-Campbell Moore, recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award by the Theatre Critics of Wales and currently Associate Artist, Theatre Brycheiniog, Brecon

The exhibition is based on a theme of The Beauty and The Grit which is a project with seven different dance companies taking place in Wales and India until the end of 2015 . The two Indian projects are with Stem Dance Kampni in Bangalore and The Danceworx in Delhi. In February 2014, the photographer was in residence at the Danceworx studios observing the daily rituals of warm up, class, rehearsal and relaxation. The reality of the creativity involved in making dance and the grit of the rehearsal studios gives a vibrant insight into the working lives of the dancers and the making of contemporary dance. He is supported by the Wales Art Council for the project.
