Event Description : SAH: Kathak Duet by Rashmi Uppal and Manisha Gulyani.

The intertwining of lucknow and jaipur gharana brings forth this beautiful presentation which also boasts of impressive repertoire in 5 talas -chautal,teental,vasant,ektal and jhaptal.

RASHMI UPPAL has been trained in the classical dance form of Kathak under the able guidance of Smt. Bharti Gupta-senior disciple of Pt.Shambu Maharaj. Rashmi completed her Postgraduate Diploma and Fellowship from Kathak Kendra – The National Institute of Kathak Dance in Delhi, and is currently studying under renowned Kathak performer Ms.Aditi Mangaldas.She has been performing for almost 15 years now wherein she has been a senior member of the repertory of Kathak Kendra and The Drishtikon Dance Foundation-Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company.She is now based in Jaipur.
MANISHA GULYANI is a dedicated Kathak Danseuse hailing from the Pink City Jaipur, continues to master her art under herGuru Pt. Girdhari Maharaja and Pt.Udai Mazumdar.She has been performing Kathak for more than a decade in various national and International dance festivals
