Event Description : "Africans in India: A Rediscovery" an exhibition of photographs.

IGNCA is organizing an exhibition and one-day conference "Africans in India: A Rediscovery". The exhibition of photographs retracing the life and achievements of prominent Afro-Indians will come from the Schomburg Centre for Research in Black Studies, New York and includes photographic reproductions of paintings from private collections and museums as well as contemporary photographs.

Accompanying Events :

8th October : The inauguration will be followed by a performance by Siddi Goma Troupe, the Black Sufis of Gujarat at IGNCA Auditorium.

9th October : 5.00 pm - Curatorial Talk by Sylvianne A. Dioufe

15th October : 10:00 am onwards - Conference on “ Africans in India : A Rediscovery”
