Artiste Brief : Pandits Rajan and Sajan Mishra are more than just amongst the most heard and the leading vocalists of this generation. They are uniquely distinctive. What distinguishes their music is its unmistakable aroma – so bewitchingly “Banarasi”. Languorously sensuous, it caresses and entreats and so it seeps into the deepest recesses of the heart. And it is in the informal Baithak format where the singers and the Rasiks are “Ek jut” that their recitals attain their most eloquent and seductive expression. This Baithak by all expectations will be an experience of sheer joy – of connecting with one’s core.
