Event Description : The Poetry Society, India presents Poetry Readings by Shri Laxmi Shankar Bajpai.
Laxmi Shankar Bajpai, a well-known poet is the Deputy Director General, All India Radio. He belongs to the Indian Broadcasting Programme Services. He is associated with several Universities as a guest faculty; Examiner, Paper-Setter etc. for Media studies. He is author of more than a dozen Text-Book units on Broadcasting for Graduate & P.G.Courses of IGNOU. He has scripted and anchored many Documentaries for Doordarshan. He has been the Narrator in T.V. Serials and has broadcast live commentaries of hundreds of historical, national and international events such as Lahore Bus Journey, Republic Day Parade, Film festivals etc. on national network of AIR. He has delivered lectures in many National & International seminars and workshops on media and literature. He has been the member of Jury for many National Competitions and awards etc. He has given poetry recitation in UK, Poland, Surinaam, Trinidad & Tobago as representative Indian poet.
