Event Description :  Sarod recital by Anupam Joshi, disciple of Pt. Rajeev Taranath & Pt.Tejendra Majumdar.

Accompanying him on the Tabla will be renowned Tabla Player Ustad Akram Khan.

About Anupam Joshi :

Anupam Joshi is a disciple of Pt Rajeev Taranath and Pt Tejendra Narayan Mujumdar of Senia Maihar Gharana. He has performed extensive in and around India. In August, 2013 Anupam was invited to perform at the World Music and Dance Festival, Hakodate, Japan. He was the only Indian musician who got an opportunity to represent Hindustani Classical Music on such a gigantic platform. His performance was appreciated and highly praised by the Japanese audience. As a contribution to a social cause Anupam also performed at Old age Homes and Orphanages during the period of this festival.
Adding another feather to his cap was his performance at the Indian Embassy, Tokyo marking the celebration of 67th Independence Day of India. Anupam is one amongst the very few Indian musicians who got a chance to tour Japan. He performed 12 concerts in 19 days in different parts of Japan.
