Event Description : "Haveli Sangeet: Bhakti Music in Context" a talk by Irfan Zuberi as part of Music Appreciation Promotion.

In recent times, the term 'Haveli Sangeet' has come to encapsulate the entire gamut of musical genres associated with the Vaishnavite temple traditions. This presentation will introduce the different strains of the genre from the perspective of regional, linguistic & stylistic variations 

Irfan Zuberi is an independent researcher in the field of performing arts associated with the Naad Saagar Archives & Documentation Society for South Asian Music
