Event Description : On the occasion of 68th Independence Day Nehru Bal Sangh Cordially invites you to a cultural festival "Jashn-e-Azadi" A patriotic production presented by Sadhya – a unit of performing Choreographed by Santosh Nair.
India emerged and became a nation with vibrant culture and economy in past six decades and is going to celebrate its 68th Independence Day in no time.
Mr.Santosh Nair, a renowned artistic Director and choreographer, and his team- Sadhya is all set to present another spell bounding piece of performing arts at Jashn-e-Azadi on 11th August 2014, at Sri Sathya Sai International Centre, Lodhi Road, Delhi at 5:30 pm. To celebrate India’s 68th Independence Day, Nehru Bal Sangh is organizing Jashn-e-Azadi that traces our country’s journey from its golden age, to the British Rule, to the Independence-the progress thereafter, to the present scenario through the medium of Music & Dance.
Independence is a moment of pride and glory for every Indian. It’s like a national festival which should be celebrated with much more energy and enthusiasm. With an aim to instill in you the various emotions that reflects in the journey from peace & serenity of the golden age, the pain and humiliation of suppression, the passion of Independence and the enthusiasm of progress of the present, Nehru Bal Sangh presents Jashn-e-Azadi. This patriotic performance, choreographed by Santosh Nair, also emphasizes the absolute need of the hour, for the nation to come together yet again, converting their concerns into actions.
Dr.Karan Singh (MP), President – Indian Council for Cultural Relations, will honor the event with his presence as the Chief Guest. Other big names like Shri Bhubenshwar Kalita (MP), Shri Rajeev Gowda (MP), Shri Sandeep Marwah (MD – Marwah Studio), Shri Shekhar Mutreja (Director – Cosmic Group), Shri Chandrachur Singh (Cine Star), Mr.Virender Aggarwal (National Secy.), Mr.Ajay Sinha (National General Secy.) and Mr.Ashok Sahota (National President) will be among others present there.

About Santosh Nair :
Santosh Nair's journey as a dancer began under the blessings of his father Shri Kalamandalam Padmanabhan in the year 1986 as a Kathakali dancer. He furthered his training at Kathakali centre under the able guidance of Shri Sadanam Balakrishnan. The strong urge to explore, feel and create, led him to learn Modern dance with Shri Narendra Sharmaji of Bhoomika Creative Dance Centre for next five years, performing and choreographing dance pieces in a most innovative and heart touching manner. The desire to incorporate varied and energetic movements into his dance style saw him learning the traditional dance of Orissa, Mayurbhanj Chhau under Guru Janmey Joy Sai Babu from 1995-2000.Trained both as a traditional and contemporary dancer, Santosh Nair has proved his excellence in the field of dance and choreography by creating a unique style of his own.In 1998 he initiated his own company by the name of Sadhya-a unit of performing arts which rests on the philosophy of tradition & innovation & has now established itself as one of the leading contemporary Indian dance companies of the country. Some of his famous productions are: 1) The Game of Dice 2) We Can make the difference 3) Chaitanya 4) Natraj-The Lord of Dance 5) A Doll's house by Henrick Ibsen.
