About: We wish to create awareness and to bring back the charisma of Indian classical music among the educated, urban middle class youth, who know very little about the depths and intricacies of Indian Classical Music or the instruments used therein. The Artistes too need a broader visibility and deserve to be acclaimed by the many who have not had an easy opportunity to enjoy such arts.
·         Ours is neither a fund raiser nor a sponsored programme, it's a statement of our passionate belief in the need for this as a community service.
·         To actually serve its purpose, the public should be made aware of the eminence and skill of these artistes and that this is a not to be missed opportunity to learn from the nuances of music from the best in the field.

Our Reason for holding such events :
SAKSHI is a registered NGO which has been working within underprivileged communities to promote health, education and community development for the last 21 years.  As an outcome of our work in community development we have found a pressing need for not only development of the communities but also for promoting our arts and literature. Towards this end we are directing our efforts, to bring into focus and to popularize our rich heritage of culture, which has distinguished our civilization through the centuries. We are certain that an exposure to these arts and their inherent wisdom, grace and beauty will enrich the lives of the viewers and equip them to lead their lives on a foundation based on the universal values that form the core of the performances.

SIET is the organizing and implementing partner which has a long history of successful and well received events and awareness campaigns to highlight subjects related to community welfare and development
