Event Description :  ‘Ayati’ - Solo exhibition by Rashmi Singh

About Rashmi Singh 

Born in 1966, Rashmi singh was born again in 2003, when she met with a painful road traffic accident. Rashmi was declared bed ridden for life, and the doctors had written her fate off. But not only did she start walking again and reinitiated an independent life but also got back to the active routine of her profession as an advocate along with her passion of painting.
Post the accident, her holding the pencils and attempting steady lines was quite an ordeal and was initiated to allow her better motor control and the resultant calmness, silently and imperceptibly brought her amazingly out from those dark days of stagnancy into joyous mobility.

Having perfected Tanjore Style of painting, she shifted her attention towards Miniatures and Relief work. As a realistic artist she is merging her art with the fine craft of gold ornament making as well. For this Exhibition, Rashmi has created Tanjore paintings in Miniatures and amalgamated them into enchanting ornaments. Her innovation through this interesting fusion is definitely a heart-warming.
