Event Description : Women In Indian Cinema- a showcase of works of women across different aspects of ‘behind the scenes’. Featuring the work of casting director Loveleen Tandan- 'Monsoon Wedding'. A stressed father, a bride-to-be with a secret, a smitten event planner, and relatives from around the world create much ado about the preparations for an arranged marriage in India. Winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival 2001. Screening followed by Q&A with Loveleen Tandan, also the co-director & casting director for Slumdog Millionaire, casting director for Brick Lane and casting consultant for The Namesake.
