Event Description : International Art Foundation Presents 'Ishq Haqiqi' Eternal Love, Param Bhakti a solo Painting Exhibition by Farkhanda Khan (Fida)

Farkhanda Khan started her career in painting 20 years ago but very soon realized that some concrete messages should be conveyed through this art. That message, she found in Sufism which she believes, is the ultimate way to attaining pinnacle of worship of God and spreading the message of love to entire humankind. She elaborates, "I got inspired with its philosophy when I went on a tour to various holy places of different sects and religions. I found that God does not exist in any of them, but in the hearts of human beings. According to Bulle Shah, You may demolish the temple, You may demolish the mosque, And demolish what ever you can, But never break a heart. If a person has real feelings for God he or she can find Him  within."
She says, "I am working in the field of art for the past 20 years through various media and techniques. I have a good command on my subject. I have a good sense of themes, ideas and creativity. I work for my own satisfaction. Art emerges when something touches my emotional chords".  

In most of her paintings Farkhanda expresses her inner feelings, reflecting her way of spiritualism. About her innovative style of painting, she says, "Sufis are God-intoxicated people who express their love and devotion to Him through singing and dancing".
