Andreas Volwahsen is chiefly celebrated as an architectural historian however, this exhibition focuses on an element of his work that has long demanded more attention – his photography. Originally taken to  to illustrate Volwahsen's first two academic books, ‘Living Architecture: Islamic India’ (1968) and ‘Living Architecture: India’ (1971), these photographs reveal the intricate details, beauty and complexity of India's architecture.

The photographs are being exhibited publicly by Tasveer for the first time as independent works in their own right in this exhibition that tours India in 2014.
