Event Description : South Asian Women's Public Meeting On “Women, Peace And Security”
The two day programme will examine and review the worsening state of affairs of women’s security resulting from the escalation of violence, the increasing militarized response of the state to people’s political economic and social struggles, the surge in extremist forces and populist politics; and the shrinking space for democratic rights and specifically women’s rights.
