Event Description : Impresario India presents 16th National Festival Of Creative Arts.
A message by the President, Bijan Mukherjee : Commending the impact of this annual festival of Creative in the series, one of our eminent art historians wrote in Hindustan Times “No art form can survive, let alone grow or evolve, if it is not in step with the spirit of the time. It is just such a journey that the Creative Arts Festival has tried to undertake”. Instituted in 1999, the Festival has been the meeting place of not only the national artists of highest honour, but also for the budding talents from all corners of the country. It thus serves as a platform where present meets the past and future with openness for experimentation for new creations with traditional and contemporary art In pursuance with the demands from artists of all forms, the next Festival – 16th – is planned to include all the three performing art forms i.e. dance, drama and music by artists hailing from Mumbai to Midnapur. The Stein Auditorium of India Habitat Centre has been the platform of this prestigious Festival from its very inception.
