Ahluwalia. My Mission (1963/3mins) Dir.Dilip Jamdar.
Women- A Tribute (1975/8mins) Dir.V.K. Wankhede.
The films will attempt to comprehend and interpret the state's imagination of its women at different points in time, and the place it gave them within the larger narrative of the nation.
Screenings followed by a discussion led by Uma Chakravarti, noted historian, women's rights activist and film maker.
