Event Description : Aqua Foundation Cordially requests you to join the Universal conference of  “7th World Aqua Congress (WAC) 2013” With the topic “Balancing Five Element strategically towards sustainability”.
An unique and first ever conference to deal with threats linked to survival of entire Humanity. The conference is being organized by non-governmental organization, Aqua Foundation. The theme of conference is 'Balancing Panch-Tatwa (five elements) Strategically towards Sustainability (achieving sustainability will enable the Earth to continue supporting human life)'. The conference is a unique, first ever fusion of modern science and traditional wisdom to restore balance in Panch-Tatwa which are basic ingredient of everything in this universe, including our own body.

Man is the supreme creation of nature. Out of all creations of universe, only humans have been bestowed upon with certain special powers and capabilities like intellect, reasoning, rational consciousness etc. Having received this 'extraordinary' gift, humans are supposed to become 'father figure' for the family called universe, protecting and nurturing all other living and non-living creations of nature. Man was created as custodian of universe, to manage it in totality with 'drarma' (Law that upholds, supports or maintains the regulatory order of the universe) and without self interest. That seems to be the only logical role of the supreme creation called 'human'.
Has that really happened? Has man really conducted himself as a father? The answer is a big 'NO'. Instead of becoming a father, man chose to become a 'ruler'. Instead of protecting and nurturing other creations, man chose to destroy and dominate everything around him. Instead of serving nature 'selflessly', man decided to systematically destroy nature for its selfish materialistic objectives, forgetting in the process that man's own survival also depends on fine balance existing in nature.
The consequences of man's action are evident in terms of various phenomenon including global warming, climate change and environmental degradation in general. Various organizations and people are doing commendable work towards restoring the delicate balance in nature. There is an urgent need to unify diverse efforts being put forward by various individuals and organizations, and address to these issues holistically. The vision of Aqua Foundation is to bring ‘Unity in Diversity’ and restore the balance in ‘Panch-Tatwa’ using the invaluable knowledge available as ‘Traditional Wisdom’ while combining it with modern science. It is to be noted that living with nature does not mean going back to 'stone age' and turn against any scientific development. The fact remains that traditional wisdom was based on direct observation of phenomenon in nature, and is pure evolved science.
Man has to relearn living with deep understanding of the biggest science of all i.e. nature. It's about learning from nature and using science constructively for well being. India is the most appropriate place to start this great movement. In India, and other great civilizations around the world, traditionally, great focus has been put on living in harmony with nature, and society at large. It's common in these great cultures to worship natural elements like rivers, trees, mountains, wind, rain, fire etc., as deities. Various animals and creatures (even snakes) are also worshipped to bring focus on their importance in natural cycle. The focus always has been on selfless service, living in harmony with nature, and keeping 'zero waste' system of nature intact.
