Event Description : 'The Non-dualist Shaivism of Kashmir and Its Relevance in the Contemporary World' a talk by Dr. Bettina Baumer, one of the foremost scholar of Kashmir Shaivism and a renowned Indologist.
As part of The Major Schools of Indian Philosophy series. 

What is commonly known as “Kashmir Shaivism” is a unique philosophical and spiritual tradition which flourished in Kashmir between the 8th and 13th centuries with its most prominent authors like Somananda Utpaladeva and Abhinavagupta. The lecture will not only highlight the central issues of this tradition, but will also try to connect them with its relevance for the present global situation.
