Event Description : The Embassy of Switzerland in India presents 'Swiss Positions' 33 takes on sustainable architecture - A collection of photographs of Key projects from the Swiss Construction Sector.
The 33 projects selected for this exhibition present architectural and engineering achievements through the eyes of talented photographers. Swiss architecture and engineering today have an excellent reputation across the globe, not only due to the quality of technical expertise and inventiveness of their authors, but also due to a strong determination to pursue the objective of sustainable development.
The 33 unique exhibits explore different angles with regard to construction, materials, ecology and protection of the environment. These architectural works, whether viewed from a technological, organic, vernacular or bioclimatic angle, or from a social perspective, enter into an interaction with the context in which they are created.
Nathalie Herschdorfer is a curator and art historian, who specializes in the history of photography. Director of the photography festival “Alt.+1000” in Switzerland and curator at the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography (FEP), she was previously a curator at the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne.
