Event Description : 'Shabdrang : An Integration' An Exhibition of paintings By Renowned Artist Ashok Khant.
His series of paintings titled ‘Shabdrang’ displays his creative knowlage in tonal colours, Thus explaining human emotions. His paintings include verse from Noida based poet Raina’s poetry.

Ashok Khant was introduced to Raina through his interest of poetry. Her beautiful poetry inspired Ashok, Leading him to create paintings based on it. The poem's feelings is painted by Ashok, which has been presented in this exhibition. The essence of various life experiences and dreams that Raina's poetry describes can be seen in Ashok’s  paintings. Especially, the depiction of a woman's emotions and feelings from the poems is marvellous. Each painting has couplets of a poem written in calligraphy setting the mood of the painting.

The artist has completed his art education from Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat. Ashok has been working in the realistic painting genre and has numerous paintings depicting the Indian folk life and portraits of various famous personalities to his credit. Ashok especially depicts the Indian rural and tribal life. His paintings come to life with cheerful colour schemes in harmony with beautiful light and shadow combinations. Since 1992, Ashok has participated in numerous solo and group shows in Banglore, Kolkata, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Mumbai, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and other cities. He has received many awards since 1984, He has received around 10 awards and honors on state and national level. in addition to Rajiv Gandhi excellence award, Sardar Patel award he has been honored by the American book publisher co. 'I see me' for his realistic  paintings.
