Event Description : 'Bapu' film screening.
Children from 6 states of India explain the idea of non violence to the children of the world.
Original ... creative ... truly inspired stories. Script, drawing, cartoons and animation by 8 to 16 year old children.
The relevance of the basic ideas of Mahatma Gandhi seems to have increased as the world plunges into an economic crisis and almost all the children of the world are affected directly or indirectly by human conflict and natural disasters.
There were no suicide bombers when Mahatma Gandhi was alive and probably he would be the only person who could face one and convince him not to kill himself and other innocent people.
Our children need a peaceful world.
Animation in Education is a very easy technique to reach children and connect with them.
Since all the art forms come together in the making of an animation film, it is ideal for art integrated learning.
Writing an original story, creating your own cartoon characters, converting words into visuals and sounds operating cameras and using a computer based non linear editing system to make an animation film is very exciting for children.
Empowering children to express their views through a contemporary digital art encourages them to think globally and offer the children of the world a new and fresh perspective.
Working with children of traditional tribal artists and applying their art for education helps promote our unique cultural identity and develops a sense of pride in our diversity and heritage.
