Event Description : NISA School Leadership Summit.
About NISA School Leadership Summit : National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) is an initiative taken by Centre for Civil Society to promote low fee schools that cater to the most backward sections of Society. NISA is an association of budget private schools in India currently representing over 7,000 Budget Private Schools from 15 states in India—Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi, Manipur, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. These schools reach out to over 35,00,000 students from the economically weaker sections of society.
This year NISA is organising its Second Annual School Leaders Summit. The summit will bring together over 175 budget private school leaders to discuss challenges and existing gaps in the education system and learn of opportunities and innovative practices in the education space to improve quality of schooling and student performance. The summit also sees representation from a diverse cross section of stakeholders such as investors, financial institutions, thought leaders, education service providers, principals of affordable schools, proprietors and association heads.

Key sessions:

Barriers to the Choice of Education
This session aims to explore parental choice in the education of their children and how these choices are being limited by government regulations – through closure of budget private schools due to the RTE norms.

Running of Great Low-fee Public Schools
This session aims to showcase successful low fee private schools in order to highlight the best practices in running such schools and provide school owners with techniques and tools to improve the quality of schooling they impart.

School Leadership Training
This session aims to provide school leaders with high-quality programming, individualised coaching and leadership development opportunities in order to build, lead, and sustain outstanding schools.

School Financing Models
Recognising the financial challenges faced by school owners in running low fee private schools, this session aim to explore alternative models of school financing that are sustainable and lucrative.
