Event Description : National Monuments Authority presents 'Archaeological Excavations at Vaishali: Raja – Vishal-ka-Garh and Kolhua' Illustrated lecture by Dr. S.K. Manjul, Superintending Archaeologist. Archaeological Survey of India.
The ancient city of Vaishali in North Bihar is closely associated with the Buddha and Mahavira. Excavations have revealed a cultural occupation from 8th century BC to Post Gupta period and includes remarkable structures and the town planning of the ancient city.
