Event Description : German Book Office presents Jumpstart 2013 - a two-day annual fest for professionals in the field of children´s content – JUMPSTART – which is back with an exciting programme for 2013.  The theme this year is ‘Speaking in Tongues’, aimed at engaging with the infinitely interesting aspects of ‘languages in evolution’.

We invite you to register for JUMPSTART 2013 and gain insight into topics like language diversity/translations/meaning, with inspiring presentations, discussions, workshops and master classes led by national and international experts drawn from the world of children’s content. Also, you get an opportunity to introduce yourself to the key industry players at BOOK SOUK forum.

So, join in the conversation and find out more about:
-          What are the special challenges of translating children’s books- bi- lingual or multilingual?
-          In this land of many tongues, is linguistic diversity a challenge or a gift?

Day 1 will inspire you with Open Sessions, Panel Discussions and Presentations while Day 2 will bring you Master classes (separate for Writers and Illustrators) led by award winning international experts.

Day 2 also includes ‘What’s your Bhasha?’ - a workshop for librarians, teachers and school principals, held in collaboration with Pratham Books and India International Centre, New Delhi.
