In recent years, many of our national monuments and world heritage sites are facing threats from infrastructure development, new buildings, urban renewal, and changes to land use. In order to adequately evaluate potential impacts, the World Heritage Committee has suggested that the State Parties concerned should conduct Heritage Impact Assessments.
