Event Description : '1st April' a Hindi entertaining, yet thought provoking play presented by Khalna- The People for Performing Arts.
The play raises a very important & yet unexplored youth issue of domestic or parental suppression on children and how domestic violence amongst parents leaves a bad inerasable hatred on their young impressive minds.
The story of the play revolves around the protagonist of the play Ajay and how on the April fool’s day his 3 hostel friends Anil, Shirish and Rakesh try to make a fool out of him by enacting and trying to convince him that his father has come down from hometown. In the due course he starts believing and communicating with the imaginary father. Gradually the whole fictious drama takes an ugly turn of an emotional and tense outburst. The climax sees a lot of dark secrets from Ajay’s suppressed childhood come out in the open.
The lead character is played by Mohan Yadav. His friends are being played by Ashish Maheshwari, Anoop Mehrotraa and Alok Pandey.
