About the artistes:- 
Megha Sriram from Jharkhand began learning music at the age of 13 from Ustad Amjad Ali. She has been awarded a Scholarship from the H. R. D. Ministry for working and promoting Folk Music of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. She has sung in various albums and her renditions in Bollywood films include  Anwar and most recently, That Girl In Yellow Boots. A versatile singer, she is never afraid of experimenting, and has recently recorded with Coke Studio, Mumbai.

Deshraj Lachkani is a veteran  Sufi Dhadi singer. He was raised by his uncle Kiche Shah, also his ustaad  or teacher. Deshraj's father was a dhol  player and always inspired him to take up music. He left school in the 4th grade to take up singing full time. The first performance of his life got him 8 rupees in tips! His group consists of him and his 4 grand-sons who are learning the art from him. A much sought after performer, Deshraj is regularly invited to perform at various fairs and festivals and has also won several awards. He also sang the popular number Jugni for Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. Presently he is recording with Coke Studio in Mumbai.

About the artistes:- 

Teejan Bai is an exponent of Pandavani, a traditional performing art form, from Chhattisgarh, in which she enacts tales from the Mahabharata, with musical accompaniments. Hailing from the Pardhi Tribe of Chhattisgarh, she was very young when she heard her maternal grandfather, Brijlal Pradhi, recite Mahabharata written by Chattisgarhi writer, Sabal Sinh Chauhan in Chattisgarhi Hindi. She soon At 13, she gave her first public performance in a neighbouring village for Rs 10., singing in the Kapalik shaili style of Pandavani - a first for a woman, as traditionally women used to sing in the Vedamati, the sitting style. Contrary to tradition, Teejan Bai memorized much of it and later trained informally under Umed Singh Deshmukh. villages and invitations poured to perform at special occasions and festivals. Her performed standing singing out loud in her powerful voice and unmistakable verve, entering what was till now, a male bastion. Soon she became known in neighbouring break came, when Habib Tanvir, called upon her to perform for then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. A recipient of several national and international recognitions, she also received the Padma Shri in 1988, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1995, and Padma Bhushan in 2003. She has travelled all over the world as a cultural ambassador, to countries as far as England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Tunisia, Malta, Cyprus, Romania and Mauritius.

Dr. Suhasini Koratkar - A renowned artist of classical music, Dr. Suhasini Koratkar also excels in presenting the light and folk music varieties of Maharastra like Natya geet, Abhang, Goulan, Janorikar, the doyen of the rare style of Bhendi Bazar Gharana and special guidance studied these compositions from various sources. Her style of presenting these songs Lavani and other such forms. She received training in classical music from Pt. T. D. of Poorab ang Thumri from the legendry Thumri veteran Vidushi Naina Devi. Equally interested in the light and folk music of Maharastra, Suhasini has collected and is very attractive, with a blend of true originality and novelty. Her deep sonorous voice makes her rendition melodious and effective, bringing forth the true essence of these songs.
