Event Description : ‘Solomonic Angels in a Mughal Sky’ a talk by Prof. Ebba Koch.
The lecture seeks to explain why Europeanizing angels appear in the wall paintings of Jahangir's palaces at Lahore, Agra and elsewhere, looks at their reception at the courts of Rajasthan, and in the work of the contemporary artist Shahzia Sikander.
