Photo exhibition on social exclusion under the banner of breaking margins

Background of the event: The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme and Video Volunteers have come together to create the Community Correspondent Network. The initiative is envisioned within the larger ‘breaking margins’ ‘voices to end discrimination’ and campaign platforms being forged for by Video Volunteers under India Unheard. The video content generated through the project and by the network will be available for use by the larger development communication and news distribution.
Numerous campaigns and online petitions have been fuelled by strong community correspondent video reports. The ability to showcase issues and campaign energy is significantly strengthened by presence of change narrators from the community itself.
We are very excited about the journey and tremendous capacity it has for developing strong campaign and advocacy narrative. Over the period of next six months about 50 correspondents will generated and screen 400 videos at the community level.
