In a world with emerging strong actors such as the BRICS countries and new global challenges including climate changes, financial crisis, global inequality, humanitarian medical organizations need to constantly adapt their responses and methods to provide quality medical care to people who need most. The lecture will explore the challenges in India and South Africa, faced in the humanitarian sector and the emerging ideas and practices that are addressing them
