Event Description : Bharatanatyam Recital By students of Kalaikoodam With special choreographed items presented by Komala Varadan.

'MAYA', based on the Jataka tale, talking about Buddha's birth  written by late prof. krishnamoorthy of Carlton University, canada, was choreographed as a monoballet  by komala 
The opening item is on Ganesha. A Todaya Mangalam by Sarfoji Maharaj, the marathi ruler who ruled Tanjore, which sounds almost like Sanskrit.
'Jhoolat Radha Sang Giridhara' - A Meera Bhajan where Komala's depiction of
the swing has been praised a lot is one of the items.
