Event Description : Art shows for the week are as follows :

1. 'Frames of life IV ", an exhibition of photographs by Vimal S. Mehta. The show will comprise of around 42 photographic works. 
Artist's Comment : As I am widely travelled in India and abroad, I have a variety of frames of life to share with viewers and art lovers. Photographs selected for display are however only from my travels in India, be it Ladakh or Andaman islands.

2. 1st Solo Exhibition of Paintings by Akshat Sinha.
The show will have about 24 acrylic on canvas paintings and an installation 10.5 X 12 feet.
The title of the show is 'Te Zolotie Godi - Those Golden Years' (Te Zolotie Godi is the Russian translation for Those Golden Years) and other works.

‘Aakshat Sinha, an M.Tech., Mechanical Engineer from People’s
Friendship University of Russia, Moscow switched over to his creative self in 2006. Having acquired a full-time Diploma of Fine Arts from Delhi Collage of Art, he has participated in many group shows and art camps and workshops.
The basic theme of his 1st solo show is ‘nostalgia’. The golden years for anyone are generally their school/college years, where many a friendships and connections are forged. Though with time the contacts dwindle off, they are never really forgotten. Glimpses of old photographs trigger memory flashes that can keep one occupied for hours. A chance meeting with an old friend can leave one thoughtful for days to come. We all look forward to school/college reunions and such opportunities to recall and retrace the time that we believe to be our golden years. The Russian landscape provided him with a fertile backdrop for vivid, yet stark imagination. The contrast of the friends that he remembers till date and misses, and the land that provided him with so many memories, has left an indelible mark on his reflections.
