Event Description : Delhi By Foot presents a walk at Delhi's Oldest Existing Fort Complex - Tughlakabad.
You must have passed these forts a thousand times while on the roads of South Delhi, but never mustered the courage to go inside the twin forts of Tughlaqabad & Adilabad, the Oldest existing Fort Complex of Delhi. Once surrounded by lakes and where now runs the bustling Mehrauli-Badarpur Rd, stand these two forts since more than 600 years. So join DBF for a Sunday picnic-style heritage exploration within the high fort walls of Tughlaqabad where you will explore fort & palace ruins as we recount to you the "Daastan-e-Tughlaqabad" and stories of empires & battles gone by from the era of the Delhi Sultans in 14th Century till the British Raj of 19th Century.
