Event Description : Pt Ravi Shankar Memorial meeting at 6 PM at which Pt Birju Maharaj, Dr Sonal Mansingh, Jatin Das and several other eminent persons who have known Pandit Ji will pay their tributes to the world renowned Sitar Maestro of India.
Followed by a Panel Discussion on the theme 'Mahatma Gandhi, David Thoreau & Political Agitations Today' at the same venue at 7 PM. 
Chairperson : Amb. Lalit Mansingh, former Foreign Secretary 
Panelists : Former High Commissioner to UK & Ambassador to USA.  Amb. Kanwal Sibal former Foreign Secretay & former Amb.to France & Russia, Amb. Meera Shankar former Ambassador to Germany & USA ,Prof Deepak Pental, former Vice Chancellorof Delhi university & a senior diplomat  from the US Embassy in Delhi will form the Panel.
In the wake of peoples' protests in different parts of the world raising serious political, economic, social, societal, environmental, human rights & Governance issues, revisiting Gandhi ji & Thoreau should be relevant and meaningful. And given the vast & varied experiences and  understanding of the Panellists, it should turn out to be quite a stimulating session.
