Event Description : International Conference and Exhibition on Atisha and Cultural Renaissance.
Emperor Ashoka laid the foundation of spreading the message of the Buddha abroad and Atisha is the last outstanding Indian scholar who went abroad for the cause, in the 11th century.
Scholars, archeologists, explorers, journalists, photographers, spiritual leaders and monks will discuss the life, leagacy and contribution of Atisha for today's world.
There will be an exhibition on his life, physical and spiritual path, His legacy, the places he visited, lived and the monastery where he passed away.
Invaluable relics, preserved by the monks over the past centuries documented from remote areas, monasteries and Buddhist temples will also be displayed Enjoy demonstration of unique forms of arts like making butter sculptures and sand mandalas.
