'Damini' Exhibition of paintings by Nitai Das, (delhi) Ratan Anand (Hyderabad) Shukla chowdhury (Mumbai) d.n. baraskar (indore) .

It has been a common trend in the last two to three decades; women in India have continued to face discrimination and other social challenges and are often victims of abuse and violent crimes. The reasons of such untoward behaviour towards women could be many, but it mainly underlines the fact that human civilization is moving towards a more dangerous situation. Woman has often been symbolized as Mother Nature. The basic source of life in this world, be it God or any species, their existence is linked to woman. So, it becomes imperative for the existence of mankind that one should respect women. The recent ‘Damini’ incident has awaked the nation from its apathy towards women. Her story has reignited the ‘Stree Shakti’ within several women, and it has given ‘rebirth’ to the inner consciousness of society. Carrying this message of protecting and respecting women, we-Mr. Nitai Das (New Delhi), Mr. Ratan Das (Hyderabad), Ms Shukla Chowdhury (Mumbai) and Mr D N Baraskar (Indore) would like to invite you to the art exhibition held at All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.
