In a decaying Hollywood mansion, Jane Hudson, a former child star, and her sister Blanche, a movie queen forced into retirement after a crippling accident, live in virtual isolation… The American psychological thriller is a key vehicle to throw light on questions of star intertext, hysteria and the 'constructed feminine'. Film scholar Tarini Sridharan will introduce the film and facilitate the discussion.
