Event Details : The Himalayan Environment Trust presents 'A Choice In The Himalayas' ducumentary film screening. 
A young girl, Hema, lives in a remote village in Kumaon. A new textile activity, brought forward by AVANI, a voluntary organisation, awakens the village. The film traces Hema and the village's path over five years of filming, including issues of water availability, migration, livelihood, and environment in the hills.
