6th November : Cinderella (Aschenputtel) (2011/59 mins) Dir. Uwe Janson.
This adaptation of the Grimm Brothers tale does not adopt all Cinderella clichés. She is poor and honest and feels oppressed and wronged but at the same time she is a girl of her times. Outspoken and independent she uses besides her beauty and charm, honesty and cheeky talk to win over the prince. 
7th November : Puss In Boots(Der gestiefelte Kater) ( 2009/58 mins), Dir.Christian Theede.
When the old miller dies, his son Hans inherits only the old cat, whereas his brothers get the mill and the donkey. Hans is on the point of making a pair of fur gloves out of the pet, when the cat convinces him to buy him a pair of boots instead. The cat with its red boots then helps Hans and his brothers improve their living situation.
