About the event : Japanese Art is deeply imbued with the spirit, thinking and faith of the Japanese people - their love for nature, belief in the native Shinto to Buddhism and Zen, that which is surreal. From the esoteric beginnings of Japanese civilization to the fascinating contemporary expression replete with futuristic techniques, a visual feast of the visual arts of Japan
About the speaker : Anu Jindal holds a Ph.D. in Japanese Art History. Alumnus of Doshisha University, Kyoto, she has several publications on Art and her teaching experience spans two decades including at NGMA, SPA and NIFT, New Delhi. In 2009-10 she worked as Visiting Research Scholar at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies, Kyoto.
