Event Details : 'Through My Eyes' A solo exhibition by Usha Hooda. 
USHA HOODA, self -taught, translates her perceptions into art.  These perceptions have been colored by her experiences of having lived in different parts of the world  through most of her life and by her passion for all things natural.
HOODA renders the theme of her exhibition, THIS BEAUTIFUL WORLD, through various media and surfaces, using oils, acrylics charcoals,pen& ink and pastels on canvas, archival paper and wood.
Refusing to conform to a particular style or restrict herself to a particular subject matter, HOODA'S expression encompasses a wide variety; from still life to stylized nature, from wild horses to sober portraits.
A cancer survivor,HOODA lives life with unfettered passion, trekking and traveling , creating paintings and aesthetic spaces  wherever she goes.
Speaking of her versatility ,HOODA  also  designs texiles, tapestries, furnishings, jackets and sarees.Her creativity spills over into designing interiors of service apartments, studios,villas,residences and all sorts of spaces.

Usha paints in a diverse genre from still life to wild horses, from monochromatic pen and inks to brilliantly colourful acrylics, from stylised trees to nudes and portraits. A self taught painter,usha does not restrict herself to one mode or one theme. Her works are her perception of life which she lives with a creative passion, rendering what she sees around her in oils, pastels, charcoals, acrylics, pencils and pen and ink.
A trekker and a nature lover,usha paints at her studio at the hauz khas village .Her art spills over into fields of designing textiles and interiors as well. Usha does not believe in any expected norms of art .She believes that art can not be defined or limited.
