About the Classical Music & Dance Event: Tasmai
Tasmai” is a yearly celebration of Aakriti Foundation dedicated to the legendary Guru-s and Masters in the field of Indian Classical Music and Dance. This grand festival is part of the Foundation’s aim to uphold and propagate the rich traditions of art and cultural heritage of India as well as to motivate, inspire and encourage the younger generations to be a partner in the rich world of the classical arts.  In keeping with our tryst with the next generation we present “Tasmai” 2012 where budding young talents share the performance platform with eminent senior artistes such as  Pandit Rajan Sajan Mishra, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar and several other established artists. 

About Aakriti Foundation : Aakriti Foundation was established in 1998 in the UK by Kathak exponent Sushmita Ghosh to promote and enhance the practice, training, performance and appreciation of Indian Classical performing arts.  The working base shifted to New Delhi in 2002 and a branch center started in Kolkata in February 2012, inaugurate by a workshop by none other than the legendary Padmavibhushan Birju Maharaj.
