Event Details : 'Secrets of India's Past' a talk by Uttara Nerurkar.
India has an ancient civilization. To that extent, no history book can do justice in describing her past. This is especially true of her scientific heritage. This presentation shows how India was the source of much of the knowledge in the Ancient World. It also brings out a few scientific discoveries of Ancient India that are not understood even today. This implies that there is exciting new knowledge waiting to be discovered in our ancient past!
Uttara Nerurkar is a B.Tech.(Chem. Engg.) from IIT-Kanpur, who has worked for 15 years in leading chemical and software companies, her last stint being as a Researcher in Infosys, where she served for more than 8 years. In 2001, she left her job to pursue what was close to her heart. Delving into our ancient spiritual knowledge, she is currently a Vedic and Sanskrit Scholar and Teacher. During the course of her studies, she discovered that there is much to the history of India that lies hidden from the public eye. She felt that there was a need to enlighten the people of this country about their heritage. Hence, this presentation, which has been taken to many schools and colleges and several mixed community forums of children and adults – with always the same response – “I didn’t know that!”
