A walk event at Nizamuddin Basti on Saturday, with ample opportunity for listening to Qawwals performing uplifting Sufi music in front of the Holy Dargah,explore centuries old heritage monuments and indulge your street photography skills!
The beautiful Dargah of the Holy Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin is an oasis of spiritual serenity amongst the hustle-bustle of a village which has seen nearly 750 years of continuous habitation. Ancient havelis, baoli, beautifully decorated tombs & bazaars give a glimpse of life as it has been since many centuries. Where now exist glitzy bazars lived & preached Delhi's favourite saint and where centuries later families of Qawwals still play the musical notes of his eternal wisdom.
Listen to some shayari of Amir Khusrau & Mirza Ghalib and feel the throbbing life in this one of oldest settled villages of Delhi.
