9th August : Massey Sahib (Hindi/DVD/1985/124min) Dir.Pradip Krishen 
Cast: Raghuvir Yadav, Barry John & Arundhati Roy 
Francis Massey, an Indian secretary works for the British office in colonized India. Aspiring towards the status of a British personnel, he dresses like a British bureaucrat and sticks close to his British superior, Commissioner Charles Adam. During his course of duty, Massey is corrupt but well-intentioned. Fortunately for him, Commissioner Adam always intercedes to get him out of trouble. However, Massey’s latest crime goes beyond pardon.

Cast: Vijaya Mehta, Manohar Singh, Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah & Rohini Hattangadi. 
Based on the play Party (1976) by Mahesh Elkunchwar, the film is shot over an evening party hosted by an art connoisseur. The film is a satire aimed at the urban elite — especially those poseurs with artistic inclinations. It depicts their apathy towards the society at large while they get away, by the way of small talk and prosaic conversations at parties.
