Curve: The loveliest & prettiest distance between two points.
We think we know what beauty is - but we disagree on what constitutes the beautiful object. I sometimes wonder our heart is more sensitive to the beauty than the mind. I should think the wonderful rhythmical flow of lines and curves could be more subtly felt than seen. There is the bare beauty of the hair, locks themselves with the rhythmic flow of long lines and firm curves.
Women’s beauty has always been one the greatest sources of inspiration for artists. But they see and feel it in their own way. But the main criterion of choosing them was not the fact how beautiful or charming they are. The nude, in essence captures humanity across the ages. Since the beginning of time, the male and female nude has been inspiring artists. The shapes and forms that make up the body, naturally create beauty and sensuality. The nude has remained an ever present piece in art history. An artist can do whatever he wishes with the canvas, the vision is his. He can bring out certain features or exaggerate others, place the nude in whatever setting and pose he things will be most pleasing to the eye. Nude paintings give artists and their audiences an opportunity to study and enjoy the human form. Sometimes, this can be deliberately used to create erotic experiences. Interestingly, society tends to be rather more tolerant of nudity in art than it is of actual unclothed. But even in art, there are greater and lesser degrees of tolerance. This is demonstrated by the way in which nudity is portrayed. Nudity is always disquieting, instigating and surprising. So the artist, both in painting and in sculpture, discovers the nude a profound link with the pureness of being. Sensuality stimulates creativity in every sense. Sensuality also evokes love, passion and the creation of man. This is why nudity moves us so profoundly.
The bare fact is that we all love to have a glimpse of curve of a beauty, but we are not ready to except that we are in love with those curves, may be due to society or culture, So here comes the name "THE MYSTERIOUS CURVES". My intention is to depict different state of mind through different posture of female beauty. Hopefully, you will find there something new, interesting and inspiring. It's a show with little twists and turns that leads to the mystery of curves. It's kind of like trying to make curves from straight lines but involving shapes that sort of dictate what the line is.
I didn't discover curves; I only uncovered them.
