Event Details : AAMAD Kathak Dance Centre presents 'Parampara Pravah' Kathak Dance Festival. Festival to Revive the fading aspects of Age-old Masterpiece Compositions and their Aesthetic aspects.
Convened by Guru Rani Khanam, Kathak exponent
Senior artistes and scholars will present papers and give lecture-demonstrations on the adoption of musical forms like chaturang, prabandh, tirvat and dhamar; the importance of bhav batana; Wajid Ali Shah’s contribution to gatnikas; and Pandita Rohini Bhate’s work for the preservation of compositions
